Turkey Creole
2 cups cooked ground turkey 1/4 cup canola oil 1/4 cup flour 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup chopped pepper 1/8 tsp. minced garlic 1 tsp. each, minced onion, salt 1/ tsp. coarse grind black pepper 1/2 tsp. ground marjoram 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper 1 cup tomato paste To kick this dish up a few degrees, add 1/4 cup of Chili Pepper Paste! |
Directions Turkey Creole
Heat oil in large skillet. Add flour, stirring constantly until smooth and lightly browned. Add celery, green pepper; sauté 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients except turkey. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add turkey and simmer 20 minutes longer. Serve over hot rice. |
